About Monty’s Larder

From our family to yours.

We founded The Dorset Meat Company in 2019 with a simple belief that better food starts with better ingredients and knowing where they come from.

Since then we’ve delivered more than 100,000 orders helping families across Britain create over half a million meals using grass-fed British meat sustainably sourced fish deli produce and chef-prepared food.

In 2023 The Dorset Meat Company was named Britain’s Best Online Butcher.

And somewhere along the way we asked ourselves a very simple question.

If we care this much about the food we put on our own tables why should it be any different for our dogs?

That’s why we created Monty’s Larder.

We took everything we’d learned about sourcing exceptional ingredients knowing our farmers fishermen and producers and making food properly and applied those same principles to food for dogs.

Today Monty’s meals are freshly prepared on a working West Country farm using grass-fed British beef and lamb high-welfare poultry sustainably sourced fish and fresh vegetables.

Every recipe is complete and balanced with specialist veterinary nutrition knowledge behind it so proper food and proper nutrition go hand in hand.

No cheap fillers
No grains
No unnecessary ingredients

Just proper food made with the care and standards we’d expect for ourselves.

Because they’re family too.
