We founded The Dorset Meat Company to provide you with the finest, ethically reared meat sourced from small, Dorset farms.

We have now decided to do the same for your dog.

Monty’s Larder is our new range of food for dogs prepared by our own chefs using the same grass-fed, outdoor-reared meat sourced from The Dorset Meat Company’s group of family-run farms that follow traditional, high-welfare farming practices, produced sustainably and in harmony with nature.

Grass-fed lamb has a better ratio of Omega 3 to Omega 6, is high in antioxidants such as vitamin E and contains higher vitamin and mineral levels. Feeding your dog meat from animals that themselves have only eaten a natural diet of grass, wildflowers, clovers and legumes, rich in essential vitamins and minerals and untainted by chemicals and pesticides, makes a whole lot of sense.

We believe strongly that small-scale farming is better for the farmer, the animal, the local ecology, and for you, producing exceptionally tasting, ethically reared meat that you and your dog can trust completely.

We founded The Dorset Meat Company in 2018 to provide the finest grass fed, free range meat, sustainable fresh fish, cheeses, deli items and chef prepared meals to households across the UK.

The Dorset Meat Company was voted Britain’s Best Online Butcher in 2023.

So, we decided to do the same for your dog.

Having looked closely at the different types of dog food offered in this country, we felt we could do a lot, lot better.

Monty’s Larder is our range of freshly cooked food for dogs, using West Country grass fed beef and lamb, sustainable fish, and fresh vegetables.

Our meals have been vet developed in line with canine nutrition best practice to provide healthier, cooked food for dogs that is complete and balanced.

Simply, freshly made food for dogs using proper, natural ingredients with no nasty additives and cooked with love. Just like you would at home.
